October 9th - Sarasota County Commission voted unanimously to advertise a public hearing and vote on a county-wide domestic partner registry. Read more here.

October 11th - Equality Florida CEO, Nadine Smith, and Public Policy Director, Mallory Garner-Wells, met with Representative Baxley regarding outrageous comments disparaging LGBT families. Read more here.

October 15th - Pro-Equality Champion and Equality Florida Action PAC endorsed candidate, Amanda Murphy, won the special election in House District 36. Read more here.

October 26th - Public Policy Director Mallory Garner-Wells spoke at the Florida Democratic Party State Conference about marriage equality on a panel with Representative Joe Saunders, Representative David Richardson and FL GLBT Democratic Caucus President Sally Phillips.

October 26th - Public Policy Director Mallory Garner-Wells and Equality Florida Board Member Gina Duncan met with Senator Bill Nelson to discuss the Employment Non-Discrimination Act. Read more here.

October 28th - Senator Nelson becomes a co-sponsor of the Employment Non-Discrimination Act. Read more here.

October 28th - Deputy Director Stratton Pollitzer participated in the state's first LGBT Town Hall with lawmakers. Watch here.

November 4th - Bi-partisan Press Conference in Tallahassee to announce legislation protecting Florida's LGBT community from discrimination - The Florida Competitive Workforce Act (FCWA). Read more here.

November 5th - Equality Champions Rick Kriseman, Darden Rice, Amy Foster, and Karl Nurse sweep the St. Pete elections! Read more here.

November 6th - The Sarasota County Commission unanimously passes a county-wide Domestic Partner Registry. Read more here.

November 7th - For the first time in U.S. history, the Senate approved the Employment Non-Discrimination Act, by a bipartisan vote of 64-32, sending the legislation to the House of Representatives. Read more here.

November 14th - By a vote of 7-1 the Pensacola City Council voted in favor of moving forward on a domestic partnership registry and there was no opposition in the audience.

TAKE ACTION:

After passing through the Senate, ENDA will now be sent to the House of Representatives for a vote. Click here to take action and tell your Representative to support ENDA.

On Monday, November 25th, the Atlantic Beach City Commission will discuss a fully-inclusive human rights ordinance (HRO). Show up to the city commission chambers at 6:30pm and wear red! Click here to send the commissioners an email in support of the HRO.

October 5th - Hosted our 2013 Equality Florida Jacksonville Gala and raised over $98,000 for LGBT equality in Florida. Read more here.

October 5th - Participated in the Orgullo Festival in Miami.

October 5th -  Participated in Orlando Come Out With Pride.

October 7th - Held a fundraiser for 300 students to come together for our two largest anti-bullying leadership summits.

October 7th - Hosted the Osceola Equality Connection at the 3 Sisters Speakeasy.

October 9th -  Participated in the first Pride festival at the University of Central Florida.

October 10th - Nadine Smith, CEO, was the keynote speaker for the panel SEPARATE AND UNEQUAL: A panel discussion on the changing face of equality.

October 11th - National Coming Out Day - Straight Allies come out as engaged in the fight for marriage equality in Florida.

October 11th - Welcomed Rick Hill to the Equality Florida Team as our South Florida Development Officer for Miami and Palm Beach. Read more here.

October 12th -  Participated in the Jacksonville River City Pride Parade.

October 17th - Launched a Thunderclap/ Twitterbomb campaign encouraging Sen. Nelson to #supportENDA. Read more here.

October 17th - Equality Florida went purple for Spirit Day to stand against bullying.
