Fully Inclusive ENDA Introduced
Ask Your Representative to Become a Cosponsor!

Great News! Representative Barney Frank, joined by leading Republican co-sponsor, Florida's own Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, is set to introduce a bipartisan, fully inclusive Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA) today.

Email your representative NOW.

When passed, ENDA will extend existing Federal protections against employment discrimination to also protect people on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity.

Florida's very large and influential Congressional Delegation will play a critical role in the passage of ENDA and other pro-equality legislation. We're working closely with our national partners to ensure Florida's US Representatives and Senators stand strong in support of LGBT equality.

We need you to contact your US Representative and ask them to cosponsor ENDA as well. Becoming a cosponsor shows that the Representative will stand firm with our community and helps build momentum for the bill's passage.

Two things you can do:

1 - Email your US Representative Now. Ask them to cosponsor the Employment Non-Discrimination Act.

2 - Setup an In-District Visit The most effective action is a visit. Because Representatives will be home over the August recess, now is a great time to start setting up a meeting with you and other community members to visit with the Representative (or their staffs) in their home district offices during this time. For help setting up visits, contact Equality Florida's Federal Legislative Intern, Xenia Ruiz at [email protected]
