Action Alert: Help Pass Domestic Partner Benefits in Miami

This Thursday the City Commission of Miami will hear the second and final reading of the City of Miami Domestic Partnership Ordinance. Our colleagues at Save Dade are leading the effort to pass this critical ordinance which would provide city employees equal access to insurance for their families regardless of sexual orientation.

The City of Miami Domestic Partnership Ordinance is on the Commission Agenda for Thursday, June 11th. As of today, there is no definite time in which the ordinance will be heard, but it will be early on the agenda, so plan on arriving at 9:30 to be sure not to miss it.

Please meet with us, your Equality Florida team, in the Commission Chambers as we gather to support the efforts of SAVE Dade and rally around this important ordinance, Thursday, June 11, 2009 at the Miami City Hall-Commission Chambers, 3500 Pan American Drive, in Coconut Grove.

If you plan to attend please send a note to Tobias Packer at [email protected]
