Have you seen this? The anti-gay groups in Florida are mobilizing like never before!
A very generous Equality Florida supporter, John Evans, has offered to match all donations up to $25,000 for our equal-a-thon.
The anti-gay groups in Florida are mobilizing like never before!
They know that 2012 is a crucial election year and what happens in Florida will have a huge impact on our state and the nation.
Help us push back by making a contribution that supports our massive Get Out The Equality Vote in November.
WHAT WE ARE UP AGAINST:
The Florida Family Action (FFA) group and the Christian Family Coalition (CFC) are wasting no time in fundraising, opening new offices and hiring staff across Florida.
FFA has hired 15 field officers and staff for nine regional field stations in Tampa, Fort Lauderdale, Palm Beach, Pensacola, Orlando, Naples, Jacksonville, Clearwater and Miami according to the News Service of Florida.
To fund their efforts they are once again targeting our families. Here’s what they wrote in their latest fundraising appeal:
"What’s their common denominator? It’s to take away the freedom of choice for the Boy Scouts of America to choose their own leaders, to take away the rights of orphaned and abandoned children to be raised by a mother and a father, the right of society to respect Marriage at the union of one man and one woman. Homosexualists seek to impose so-called homosexual "marriage" on adults and children against their deepest held beliefs and convictions, this is not equality, this is discrimination against people of faith, including Christians."
WHAT WE MUST DO:
We set a goal of raising $120,000 for our Election Year mobilization. Your gift today of $15, $35, $50 or more can help Equality Florida...
Turn out our 165,000 supporters to the polls
Distribute a Voter Guide that lets voters know where candidates stand on the issues
Mobilize staff and field volunteers across the state to turnout allies and pro-equality voters statewide
Momentum is on our side. This year alone we’ve passed more than 6 domestic partnership ordinances and added local anti-discrimination protections.
Let's keep winning, together.
