Many youth struggle with navigating through school when there are no resources or tools in place for principals, counselors, teachers, or other members of the school community. The resources below are designed to support schools in implementing best practices for LGBTQ youth.

GSAs (Gay-Straight Alliances or Gender & Sexuality Alliances) are a great tool to improve school culture and create spaces for LGBTQ youth to feel a part of the school. Equality Florida is dedicated to promoting safe schools by helping GSAs form and grow through peer support, leadership development, and student empowerment.

Specifically, we work deeply within school districts to ensure the principals, assistant principals, counselors, psychologists, social workers, teachers, and school resource officers are prepared to build positive and inclusive school environments.
