Thank Senator Nelson for Co-Sponsoring the Equality Act!

Yesterday - Tuesday, May 2, 2017 - historic, comprehensive LGBTQ nondiscrimination legislation was introduced in Congress. The Equality Act - led by Senator Jeff Merkley (D-OR) and Rep. David Cicilline (D-RI) - would provide comprehensive federal protections against discrimination for LGBTQ Americans and their families.

As rumors grow about an impending Executive Order from Donald Trump to gut existing protections for LGBTQ people, Senator Nelson and the 241 Equality Act cosponsors' support for our community is all the more important. We are proud that Florida's U.S. Senator Bill Nelson joined 45 of his Senate colleagues in co-sponsoring this important piece of legislation.

Join us in sending Senator Nelson and his colleagues a "Thank You" card today for their leadership and for being an original co-sponsor of the Equality Act!

When it comes to earning a living, having a place to live, or being served by a business or government office, every American should have the same opportunity to thrive without fear of discrimination.
