Congratulations to Gina Duncan, Equality Florida's transgender inclusion director, for her recognition at the upcoming 14th Annual TSA Conference on September 20, 2016 at the Ritz-Carlton, Pentagon City! Gina is being recognized as a result of her collaboration and training of the TSA workforce.
While Gina is not able to attend the event, we are so excited about this well-deserved honor!
"On behalf of Equality Florida, I thank the TSA for this kind recognition. I was very pleased to participate in the national TSA webinars designed to increase awareness and understanding of the transgender community," said Gina Duncan, EQFL's Trans Inclusion Director. "I commend the TSA for their pro-active steps to improve transgender education so that airport security agents will be better equipped to engage transgender and gender nonconforming flyers. I hope that this will lead to the easing of travel reluctance of transgender citizens and that no one will be afraid to travel by air in the future. Everyone has the right to travel with dignity and respect without fear of airport security issues."
